AR Rahman's found a new pal in Pritam?
Ace composer, AR Rahman is not often known to hobnob with other members of Bollywood’s music fraternity. This is both due to Rahman’s unique way of functioning and also the fact that he works out of his studio in Chennai. However, from what we hear, the introverted music maestro seems to have found a friend in fellow-composer Pritam.
The two had met recently at Shah Rukh Khan’s dinner party, which he had hosted for Apple CEO Tim Cook and were seen chatting up with each other about music and other things.
While the duo seemed to connect really well, Rahman recently took the first step in extending this camaraderie and invited Pritam to give a lecture at his music academy in Chennai.
A source reveals, “Rahman functions in a very different manner and so does Pritam. However, both of them have tremendously shaped the way we listen to music and have upped their game constantly and they share a lot in common. So naturally, it was the music that brought them together at the party and they starting chatting each other up.” Following the party, Rahman, who regularly conducts guest lectures for his students has now decided to rope in Pritam for one.
A source reveals, “Rahman wants people from various walks of life from within the music industry to share their experiences with his students. And as Pritam has had a long journey along with his share of struggles and success, Rahman wants him to share some of his stories with the students and inspire them.”
