Mrunal Thakur Says She Is Indebted to Sita Ramam

Mrunal Thakur, who made her Telugu debut with Sita Ramam, credits the film for transforming her career in a big way. Although she had acted in several Hindi films and television serials before entering Tollywood, it was Sita Ramam that gave her the breakthrough she had long been waiting for. Since then, there has been no looking back for the actress.

Unlike many actresses who start their journey in Telugu cinema and later move to Bollywood while speaking dismissively about the Telugu film industry, Mrunal has consistently expressed gratitude and loyalty to Tollywood. In a recent interaction, she stated that she would remain forever indebted to Sita Ramam and the Telugu film industry, as the film not only elevated her career but also changed the way Bollywood perceived her as an actor.

Following the success of Sita Ramam, Mrunal went on to star in Telugu films such as Hi Nanna and The Family Star. Her growing popularity in the South helped her secure prominent roles in Bollywood as well. She has appeared alongside Ajay Devgn in Son of Sardaar 2 and will soon be seen in Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.

On the Telugu front, she is gearing up for her next release, Dacoit, opposite Adivi Sesh.
