Kirik Party movie review: Watch with your college friends for maximum fun

Both Rakshit and Rishab Shetty seem to have held onto the pulse of the new set of audience.

Director: Rishab Shetty

Cast: Rakshit Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna, Samyukta Hegde, Achyuth Kumar, Aravind Iyer, Dhananjay Ranjan, Chandan Achar, Ashwin Rao, Pramod Shetty, Shankar Murthy and gang.

The party has already begun, and it’s the best in town to welcome 2017. It offers you guaranteed entertainment, fun along with good music for romantic and foot tapping numbers. Go, fall in love and relive the golden days of your life. Inspired from the classic musical in the backdrop of college life such as Grease series and others, Crazy Star Ravichandran’s phenomenal Prema Loka (also a Hollywood inspirational) comes another brilliant piece, and it certainly rocks the party.

The moment Kirik Party starts, it takes you along with every minute detail, reminding about college life and if you were an engineering student, you will certainly lose yourself for almost three hour.

The fun of watching a good movie is that the characters turns personal, and the mind simultaneously starts running beautiful pictures rewinding all the good and bad times one would have experienced in similar situations. Kirik Party comes with the similar feeling, as it takes one back to his/her college life - the golden journey from the day one till the farewell* (*only if one had managed to reach the final semester/year without getting rusticated!).

Though Kirik Party constitutes almost everything what college life is all about - the last bench gang, the crushes, love, election, breakups, lecturers, exam tensions, rivalry, proxy attendance, last minute project preparations, suspension, library, seniors, juniors, hostel, and even the friendly peons; it has something beyond, to explore oneself.

Rakshit plays the lead as Karna, a perfect recipe of smart and mischievous attitude being an engineering student. He has his own gang of mates who takes on with the senior’s gang, as he along with five of his members are up to impress the most beautiful senior Shanvi played by Rashmika Mandanna. Her beautiful and cute portrayal of Shanvi will surely remind all the guys their unforgettable crush from college days. And post interval another beautiful portrayal of Arya by Samyukta Hegde reminds the ladies their big crush on one special senior guy!

Both Rakshit and Rishab Shetty seem to have held onto the pulse of the new set of audience who will eventually result in legion of fans of their work, for years to come. The mythological brave character Karna was done to death after he was cheated but this Karna will not cheat you. If possible, take your college friends to watch this one for maximum fun and love.
