Rating: 3.5 stars

Continuing his commercial success at the box office, Nanda Kishore delivers yet another out and out pakka paisa vasool venture. While all his previous ventures were remakes of other hit films, this time, he has webbed a simple and fun story which caters to his target audience — the masses. As usual, Nanda’s formula is simple and straight without indulging in any preaching.

The venture has been exclusively made to re-launch his talented son-in-law Pradeep. Former IAS officer, K Shivaram of the Sandalwood musical classic Baa Nalle Madhuchandrake fame puts in his best as producer and supporting cast in this wild cat adventure which makes a good killing. However, this Tiger takes its time before it starts to prey. The protagonist is a son played by Pradeep, who aspires to become a police officer. But his father, a retired man, is completely opposed to his police dreams. The love-hate relationship of the father-son duo is lively and wrapped with apt humour. While the Tiger is serious about a career as a policeman, he accidentally finds a lovely but mysterious and ghostly girl in the middle of the road at night. In no time, he falls in love with her, and goes in search of this apparition. A spooky love affair ensues which gets serious with the entry of the obvious villain!

While the first half has oodles of decent entertainment, the second half is more about Shivaram’s comeback while playing the father to his real son-in-law. The story unravels pondering over the adventurous past life of the protagonist’s father, and why he is against the idea of his son becoming a policeman. The second-half is where the Tiger slows down and the audience starts yawning. Later, the cat and mouse game continues with frequent twists and turns between the hero and the villain before it finally ends on a typical note of the hero emerging as victor. Watch it for the entertaining wild cat.
