Cast: Kishore, Dheeraj Prasad & Ranjan M.S.B
A first of its kind thriller for Sandalwood, it is set in a customised tempo traveller trapped all the way 20 feet under the Earth for two hours, involving three men and just a few voices heard in the background.
Inspired by several Hollywood movies which are based on abductions and then trapped in a particular place, Rajkumar's i1 goes further deep where the action is confined to only three. A timer keeps clicking over weird psychological games for survival of the fittest.
Technically speaking, the movie has limited space for creative, as it happens inside a vehicle trapped underground. So, keeping the audience hooked on for two hours with nothing else but the continuous act of three sons of VIP's, who are held hostage inside the vehicle for a reason, is quite a challenge.
It opens to Vishwa, played by Kishore who finds himself inside a vehicle. He soon realises that it is kept under the ground with sand mixed water around the vehicle, and that if an attempt is made to break open, the water mixed sand would run inside killing him alive and turning it into a grave. With a digital clock ticking with a timer set for every 10 minutes 10 seconds, the killer game gets into play. Along with the two other, the kidnapper has a plan with elimination rounds!.
Like all kidnappers, the abductor has a demand. He is well equipped too, as the vehicle is fitted with a camera, speakers, mics for broadcasting the action inside the vehicle, directly to the parents of the three and to the police commissioner.
Of the three Kishore who is the last man 'standing' has scored well with an impressive performance. It is strictly for those audience who seek thrill minus the usual commercial elements. Intrigued by the entrapment and the real motive of the kidnapper and on who survives right till the end? Then, watch i1 which promises for an in-depth entertainment....
