Vincy Aloshious Files Complaint Against Shine Tom Chacko Over Misconduct On Set
The complaint was filed with the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce and the Malayalam film industry's internal complaint committee

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Malayalam actress Vincy Aloshious recently caused a stir in the film industry by alleging in a video that a co-actor had misbehaved with her under the influence of drugs. She has since disclosed that the actor in question is Shine Tom Chacko.
The incident occurred in November 2024 during the shooting of the Malayalam film “Soothravakyam”.
Initially, Vincy, who has acted in more than a dozen films, refrained from revealing the name of the co-actor; however, she mentioned Chacko's name in the formal complaint she filed with the Film Chamber of Commerce and the Internal Committee (IC) associated with the film.
The Film Chamber of Commerce has promised to take strict action against the actor.
Details of Vincy’s complaint were leaked to the media. She expressed her frustration, stating, "It was a confidential complaint. I don't know how it got leaked. I didn't intend to disclose the name of the actor or the film. I didn't want to file a complaint."
The 29-year-old actor clarified that her complaint was directed solely against the actor, not the film or the production set. While the matter was brought up in front of the IC, and the director along with others had warned Chacko, Vincy mentioned, "I told everyone that there is no complaint, keeping in mind the future of the film. I don’t want to file a formal complaint with the police, but if they approach me, I will cooperate with the investigation."
In the complaint, Vincy reportedly alleged that Shine Tom Chacko made sexually suggestive remarks under the influence of drugs. She reported that when she went to a room to change her clothes, the actor followed her and even offered to help her change, which she considered a form of sexual advancement.
The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) has formed a three-member committee to investigate Vincy’s complaint.
The panel, consisting of members Sarayu, Vinu Mohan, and Ansiba, has been instructed to submit a report as soon as possible. AMMA sources indicated that action would be taken immediately upon receiving the fact-finding report.
