The shoot of the Prithviraj- Bhavana starrer Adam Joan was progressing in Scotland. Ace photographer Mahadevan Thampi was on board capturing the stills for the film when he noticed actress Lena, who is a part of the cast, sporting some stunning, colour coordinated clothes and accessories. An idea for a photo shoot germinated in his mind which he shared with Lena and the actress was too happy to oblige. The duo planned to shoot the frames in the beautiful locales of Scotland but the schedule took a lot more days than planned and they had to change the plan.
Though Scotland turned to Wayanad, the photo shoot happened and Lena has never looked more scintillating. The photos appearing on social media show Lena in a jungle-themed look with her hair, makeup and accessories reflecting that side of the actress never seen before. The appreciation has been swift too. Mahadevan is one happy man when he says, “Lena wanted an out of the box concept for the photo shoot. She wanted the costumes, props and accessories to be completely different from the norm. In short, it was a breaking-the-rules photo shoot!” With an expert like Mahadevan behind the camera, it was no wonder that the photos turned out so good that an online magazine decided to publish them.
A huge part of the credit for the stunning photos goes to Mahadevan’s able hands but Lena did not just pose and pout. The actress who is known for her dedication lost seven kilos for the shoot. Lena says, “I had lost weight and I thought it was the best time to do a series of photos but I wanted them to be completely new. Mahadevan bounced a lot of ideas and suggestions, one of which we finally agreed on and we collaborated on the look needed. The end result came out better than I had expected and the shoot looks really awesome!”

Lena had another reason for her weight loss too “I am associated with Aakruthi, a slimming clinic, and since it is opening in Kochi next month, I want to look my best. I am still losing weight and I have five more kilos to go till my intended target. I plan to do another photo shoot then.”
Lena, as an aside, mentions that she has been gaining and losing weight as a part of her roles and thinks that it is taking a toll on her body. She plans to reach a healthy weight and then maintain it.
