Placebo Love Story, a film written and directed by fillmmaker Issac Thomas, who lives in Canada, talks about the most pressing issues of the moment like illegal immigration and abuse of women. Said to be a romantic comedy, its switch on ceremony was held at an event in Edmonton. The movie narrates the tale of Crystal Lewis, a young woman in her early twenties. She is distressed and hates men.

She leads a strange life taking advantage of the compassionate Canadian Immigration laws. The picture changes when Doug Bannister, an immigration officer comes into the picture and when her third marriage with a Filipino student turns fatal. The rest of the movie unfolds her changing life. Produced by R. Panikker, the film features Leah Beaudry, Dan Bradford, Russell Eresmas, Jessica Hillbchrist, Prema Panikker, Mary Lou Drachenberg, Leana Shanon, Koreen Perry, Jeff Hillbchrist, Dean Lonsdale, Isac Thomas, Baba Alkija, etc. Music is by Biju Poulose and Leah Beaudry.
