Goa International Film Festival is back

Sanskrit film ISHTI directed by G. Prabha is to be the opening Feature Film of the Feature Section of Indian Panorama 2016.

This year, three Malayalam films — Kaadu Pookkunna Neram directed by Dr Biju, Roopantharam directed by M.B. Padmakumar, Veeram directed by Jayaraj — have been selected for the feature film Section for the International Film Festival of India to be held in Goa from November 20. The Feature Film Section Jury, headed by well known Director and Producer, Rajendra Singh Babu, has selected 22 films out of 230 eligible entries. Sanskrit film ISHTI directed by G. Prabha is to be the opening Feature Film of the Feature Section of Indian Panorama 2016. Baahubali, directed by S.S. Rajamouli also made it as the Best Feature Film of 63rd National Film Awards 2015.

The Non-Feature Film Section Jury headed by documentary filmmaker Arvind Sinha selected 21 films out of 198 eligible entries, for the festival. Ormayude Athirvarambukal directed by Sudesh Balan made the cut. The Jury has recommended, Ima Sabitri directed by Bobo KH as the Opening Non-Feature Film of Non-Feature Section. The Best Non Feature Film of 63rd National Film Awards 2015, titled Amdavad Ma Famous directed by Hardik Mehta has also been included in the Indian Panorama 2016.
