MG University gives out an environmental message

The academic council of the university is considering including Samaks ham as part of the Environmental Studies syllabus from next year onwards.

For the first time in the history of affiliated universities in the country, the Mahatma Gandhi University is all set to release its very first full-length feature film. Titled Samaksham, the film is expected to hit the screens in the first week of October.

The 118-minute-long movie starring Kailash, Gayathri Krishna, P. Balachandran, Dileesh Pothen, M.R. Gopakumar and others aims at spreading awareness on organic farming, eco-friendly lifestyle and conservation of biodiversity.

Produced under the supervision of university registrar M.R. Unni, Samaksham is directed by Dr Aju K. Narayanan and Dr Anwar Abdullah, faculties at the School of Letters and Malayalam Univers ity respectively. The duo has handled the story and script as well. Binu Kurian is the cinematographer for the film, which has Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum-fame Kiran Das as the editor.
