Devayani back in Malayalam

After a long gap, Devayani would be seen in a leading role in the Malayalam film My School, directed by Pappan Payatuvilla. Easy to deduce, the film is shot against the background of a school. Devayani plays a teacher Mahalakshmi who belongs to an affluent family who comes to work in a Government school that is under threat of facing closure and the story progresses from there. Mahalakshmi is someone who loves her students and helps the poor students of her school. The film reportedly deals with a social issue.
