The one-and-a-half hour movie, which is based on the life of Sri Narayana Guru, gives a deep insight into his life at Sivagiri Ashram.

Vishvaguru, the maiden film of Vijeesh Mani, has bagged the Guinness World Record for writing the script as well as releasing the movie in just 51 hours and 2 seconds. This is the shortest time span till date in which a movie has been completed. The screenplay and dialogues for Vishvaguru, which has broken the record of the Sri Lankan movie Mangalgamana that was written and made in 71 hours and 19 minutes, has been written by prominent theatre and movie director Pramod Payanoor. The one-and-a-half hour movie, which is based on the life of Sri Narayana Guru, gives a deep insight into his life at Sivagiri Ashram. Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore who visited him at the ashram and his close companions like Palpu and Kumaranasan are some of the major characters portrayed in the movie. The movie focuses on the beliefs that Sri Narayana Guru wanted to preach. The movie has many prominent actors from the film and theatre industries and is considered to be a dedication to Malayalam cinema that is completing 90 years.
