Those who watched Jude Anthany Joseph’s latest directorial venture Oru Muthassi Gadha cannot easily forget the role of ‘Bengali Babu’, which was created with certain suspence elements. That role was essayed by Appu, who also assisted Jude in the film. Now the latest news is that Appu has penned a screenplay and it will be filmed by none other than Jude Anthany Joseph. Appu says, “I have been working on this subject for the past few years. It was around one year back I dicussed it with Jude, who is my close friend, and I showed the final draft of screenplay to him a few days ago. When he read that draft, he liked it and agreed to direct.”
He says that he will essay a prominent role in the film along with some new comers. “It will be a colourful campus film, which I got inspired from many real incidents. In fact, I could easily communicate my ideas to Jude as he is my friend from my college days,” he says adding, “Film is currently under pre-production and more details will be revealed soon.” It was through Ohm Shanthi Oshana that Appu came to the film industry as an actor in the role of a police officer. He is the brother-in-law of producer Anoop (brother of actor Dileep).
