Malayalam actress assault: Special Investigation Team quizzes Rimi Tomy

Kochi: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the actor abduction case took the statement of singer Rimi Tomy on Thursday. They questioned her about a recent foreign tour along with Dileep and other artistes from the movie industry.
Investigation officers are learnt to have asked her if she had any realty or financial transactions with Dileep or his relatives. Investigation officer Baiju Paulose contacted the singer over phone and sought details of the stage show. The cops also questioned many other artistes who were part of the trip shortly after the abduction on February 17.

The singer later clarified that the police had sought details of her last foreign trip. She refuted reports of any partnership with either Dileep or Kavya and said she had come to know about the assault from media. Meanwhile, the SIT is collecting images and other details from past film shooting venues of Kavya Madhavan who had denied that she knew Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, earlier. They are also probing if Suni was earlier worked as car driver of Kavya.Sources said the cops will again collect statements of Kavya and her mother in this regard.
