Prithviraj as Kaaliyan
All those fans of Prithviraj who were disappointed with him not being a part of the magnum opus Karnan, glad tidings are here again. Prithviraj’s new project was announced in a grand manner in Kochi and the Young Turk will be playing the title role of Kaaliyan. The motion poster which was released along with the announcement reveals that the film will be a period drama inspired by the ballads on Iravikuttipillai, a warrior of Venad. Prithviraj looks every inch the warrior with his long, flowing locks and powerful physique. After the Baahubali series, Kaaliyan will also have Tamil actor Satyaraj in a prominent role.
The movie is directed by S. Mahesh and is scripted by B. T. Anil Kumar. It also boasts of a top-notch crew, including Bollywood composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with claims that the action sequences would be choreographed by those who worked in the successful series Game of Thrones. Sujith Vassudev will crank the camera for this project which is produced under the banner of Magic moon Productions. Prithviraj, who was last seen playing a warrior in the film Urumi, will start the project only after a year.
