Hitched! Malayalam stars Dileep and Kavya Madhavan tie the knot

Mumbai: On Friday, Malayalam actors Dileep and Kavya Madhavan tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony held in Kochi. The couple wanted to keep their wedding a low-key affair so only family and close friends were invited. Dileep and Kavya wanted to keep the media’s attention away from their wedding.

Around 9-10 am today, the two said their vows in front of more than 200 guests. At the ceremony, the newly wed couple greeted the guests with folded hands. Later, Dileep event went live on his Facebook account where he made the announcements. He said, “I am here to tell you about a big event happening in my life today. I am getting married today. When I thought of a marriage, I discussed it with my daughter, her mother, my friends and family and arrived at a decision. My partner is a person who has been linked to me in gossip magazines. I earnestly hope all Malayalis and people around the world who love me would shower your blessings on us and remember us in your prayers. Please do not create controversies out of this. Bless us instead.”

Mollywood actors such as Chippi, Joemal, Menaka, Kaviyoor Ponnamma among others were present at the ceremony to bless Dileep and Kavya. Reportedly, the newly wed couple will leave for Dubai after the ceremony gets over.

The couple will also be throwing a reception party once they are back.
