Lyricst singer-cum-actor Shabareesh Varma is all set to make a full length filmy appearance after the blockbuster Premam. It will be with screenwriter Arungeorge K. David’s debut directorial venture Laddu that the actor makes a comeback. His Premam co-star Vinay Forrt and Balu Varghese will also appear in lead roles. According to Sagar Das, the screenwriter tells us that Laddu can be tagged as a ‘romedy’. “It is a romantic comedy being set against the backdrop of Thrissur. We are yet to zero in on the lady lead, who will be selected through audition,” says the newbie writer.
Soubin Shahir, Shine Tom Chacko and Sharafudeen will also come in pivotal roles. Arungeorge was assistant to cinematographers Rajeev Ravi and Pappu, before penning the screenplay of Indrajith-starrer Masala Republic. Goutham Sanker, who earlier cranked camera for Pranav Ratheesh’s Theeram, will head the cinematography department for the film to be produced by Delta Studios.
