Mammootty turns Uncle' in Joy Mathew's next

Mammootty is all set to play the lead in a movie scripted by actor Joy Mathew. The film titled Uncle will be directed by Gireesh. Joy will also be seen in a substantial role in the film.

Joy, who debuted as a filmmaker in 2012 through Shutter, which was also penned by him, has starred with Mammootty in Rajadhiraja, Pathemari, Utopiayile Rajavu and Praise the Lord. With both the senior actors coming together, expectations are high for Uncle, whose official announcement is still awaited.

Mammootty is currently awaiting the release of his thriller The Great Father, which will hit the screens on March 30. He is currently shooting for 7th Day-fame Shyam Dhar’s untitled movie.
