Amala Paul
Amala’s was the last name to be announced in the cast of Achayans. The wait was worth it seems. In the movie, Amala Paul is playing the character Rita, a girl shrouded in mystery. “Rita is a typical Christian girl. There is a lot of mystery with her behaviour and the suspense is broken only towards the climax part. She is not paired opposite anyone. She was never seen in a character as this before,” says director of the movie Kannan Thamarakulam.
Amala will be joining the crew on December 15. Achayans has three female characters, the other two being Anu Sithara and Sshivada. The male leads are played by Prakash Raj, Jayaram and Unni Mukundan. The movie is shot in the locations at Kochi, Vagamon, Kuttikanam, Cumbum, Theni and Hyderabad.
