Vinayan to bring Nangeli on screen

Director Vinayan is all set to do a movie on Nangeli, the brave woman who lived in the early 19th century and cut off her breasts as a protest against caste-based breast tax. “Titled as Irulinte Naalukal, shooting of the movie will begin soon. The movie will focus on her love, fight and revenge,” wrote the director, who is currently working on the project Chalakkudikkaran Changathi, on Facebook.

He also said that the shooting of Chalakkudikkaran Changathi, which is based on the life of actor Kalabhavan Mani, is underway and is expected to complete soon.
