Malayalam actress abduction: Cops investigate Rs 1 lakh in Suni's mom's account

The police team questioned Pulsar Suni's mother about her son's involvement in various crimes over the years as well as his wealth.

Kochi: The police has initiated a probe into the revelation that Pulsar Suni’s mother had received Rs 1 lakh in her account in early 2016. The probe is to find out whether it was a fee for the alleged quotation to sexually assault the actress that took place in Kochi in February this year. As per reports, 96 notes of Rs 1,000 denomination and eight Rs 500 notes were deposited in her account. The police, who had taken the statements of Pulsar Suni’s mother, have not revealed which bank she was using and the nature of the account.

The police team questioned Pulsar Suni’s mother about her son’s involvement in various crimes over the years as well as his wealth. Meanwhile, Suni's mother on Thursday appeared before the Kalady Magistrate Court, who recorded her 164 statement. Ever since the alleged involvement of actor Dileep in the case was known, the cops had widened their probe to unearth whether he had handed over money to Suni. The police had submitted before the Angamaly First Class Judicial Magistrate and Kerala High Court that Dileep and Suni had met on four occasions at shooting locations and at a top hotel in Kochi in the last four years.
