Two female centric movies — Sthree and Chilapol  Penkutty — hit the screens on Friday. Directed by R. Sreenivasan after the award-winning film Education Loan, Sthree takes a look at various incidents a village-bred woman faces when she reaches a city. The movie features Sanish, V. Indrans, Ashokan, Kaladharan, Akhil Chakravorty, Annie Varghese and Abhirami in prominent roles. Prasad Nooranad’s directorial Chilapol Penkutty discusses atrocities girls have to face in our society, and how they are being treated in such situations.

Everyone symphathises with the victim, but doesn’t take any concrete step to help them. The movie shows how to help girls in such circumstances. The cast includes Aavani S. Prasad, Kavya Ganesh, Sruthi Rajanikanth and a few others.
