He is busy with back-to-back films and still Jayam Ravi found time to appear in a special cameo in this week’s release of Thumbaa, a forest fantasy adventure, which was kept under wraps for long. The movie, directed by Harish Ram, has Darshan of Kanaa fame and Keerthy Pandian in the lead with a tigress playing a central character.
It’s known that Jayam Ravi is not new to scripts with a forest connect, as previous movies like Peraanmai and Vanamagan had plenty to do with forests. “We are overwhelmed with Jayam Ravi sir’s great gesture of accepting to play the cameo in this film. With his star status escalating with each project he has a hectic work schedule and we felt excited when he gave us the nod,” says producer Surekha Nyapati.
When asked about his role, the reply we got is “We want to keep it as a surprise element and believe that audience will enjoy his screen time though it’s a cameo.”
The film garnered lot of buzz ever since the special video of Rock star Anirudh with the Tigress Thumbaa was unveiled. The movie will have its worldwide release on June 21.
