Thank You Very Much releases on August 25
Achuth Sankar is a plus two student who is more interested in cricket than his studies. He has a jail superintendent dad who is so strict that their sessions at home often end up in beatings. When something in the cricket field goes wrong and lands Achuth in trouble, he goes missing. Going on a search for him is his granddad, retired school teacher Shakespeare Shankaran Nair.
That and what happens afterward forms the gist of a new film called Thank you very much, releasing next Friday — August 25. The film directed by Sajin Lal, has actor Mukundan playing the strict dad, Arun Siddharth playing Achuth, and veteran Babu Namboodiri as the granddad. The film shot at Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi and Ooty, also has former collector Biju Prabhakar, MP Abdul Wahab and IG Sreejith, acting in it.
