This Sunday, for sure, is going to be a delightful one for film lovers in Kochi. The Cochin Film Society is organising a festival of films that have won the Golden Crow Pheasant award at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) today. The films will be screened at the Children’s Park Theatre, Ernakulam.
Five movies will be screened. The shows will begin at 9.30 am with XXY from Argentina, directed by Lucia Puenzo, which won the award at IFFK 2007. The next screening will be at 11.30am and Parque Via, a Spanish movie that got the award in 2008 will be shown. At 2 pm, Asghar Farhadi’s Iranian movie About Elly will be screened, which will be followed by Ravi Bharwani’s Indonesian movie Jermal at 4.30 pm. These two movies shared the prize in 2009.
The last show is at 6 pm and 2010 award winner Portraits in a Sea of Lies, a Columbian movie, will be screened.
