The multi-star M-Town film outing Achayans has roped in Happy Wedding fame Anu Sithara and IDI girl Sshivada to play female leads. The movie starring Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Unni Mukundan, Adil Ibrahim and Sanju Sivaram started rolling in Kochi.

“Sshivada is paired opposite Unni Mukundan. Anu is also a central character pivotal for the story to progress,” says director Kannan Thamarakkulam.
Earlier, names of Mamta Mohandas and Prayaga Martin were heard associated with the heroine slot. One more female actor is likely to join the cast, who is yet to be confirmed. The Aadupuliyattam director is joining hands with Jayaram for the third time, the first being Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare.

The youth-oriented script revolves around a Christian family based in Fort Kochi. Prakash Raj enacts the eldest of the four brothers in the family. This is also the South Indian actor’s comeback to Malayalam cinema after a sabbatical. The film was at first planned to be named Shappu Curry. Script is by Sethu of Sachy-Sethu duo. DOP is Pradeep Nair. Ratheesh Vega is composing songs.

The film has a 50-day schedule to be completed in Kochi, Vagamon, Kuttikanam, Cumbum, Theni and Hyderabad. Achayans is set for a March 2017 release.
