Dulquer Salmaan to play Kerala's most wanted criminal Sukumara Kuruppu

The film is based on the notorious conman of Kerala who is still at large, after he murdered a young man named Chacko.

The year 2012 and a film titled Second Show. The director Srinath Rajendran was a debutant but it was the debutant actor who was the cynosure of all eyes for Dulquer Salmaan — son of Mammootty, was taking his big leap into the choppy waters of Mollywood. The film came up trumps and the star Dulquer Salmaan was born. Later, Srinath directed many more films including one with superstar Mohanlal and Dulquer went on to cement a unique place for himself in tinsel town. Now five years later, the duo — Srinath and Dulquer will be reuniting for a project and it is no ordinary film.

Dulquer will play Sukumara Kuruppu who has been the subject of intense speculations and discussions with many a sighting reported over the years. Both Srinath and Dulquer took to their respective social media accounts to reveal the first look poster of the film which shows Dulquer looking into a mirror which shows no reflection. The director Srinath captions it as, “Not what has been said and not what you have heard is the story that is going to be told but something that even the shadow does not know.” The film has certainly created a buzz with the theme and the hippie look and one is eagerly waiting for further news.

Meanwhile Dulquer is busy with his projects across the Southern industry including the Tamil - Malayalam bi-lingual Solo, the Telugu project Savithri and a Tamil project. On the Solo front there is news trickling in that there might also be a dubbed Hindi version of the movie. A source mentioned, “The film has shaped up really well, and since Dulquer is a known name there are plans to dub the film in Hindi as well.”However, when contacted Bejoy, didn’t confirm it, but neither did he deny the news. “It’s too early to talk about it right now. Once we finish the editing, we will look at it and then decide,” he added.
