The Summer of Miracles in UK Asian Film Festival
Athishayangalude Venal — The Summer of Miracles, directed by Prasanth Vijay, got selected in the 20th UK Asian Film Festival. This will be the movie's first international screening. It was earlier screened at the Mumbai Film Festival and the IFFK. It will be screened at the historic Regent Street Cinema in London on March 17. The film deals with a nine-year-old who wishes to turn invisible, and tries everything including electric shocks to make it happen.
How the people around him — his concerned mother, relatives, an indifferent brother, and a mysterious cousin — deal with it is the rest of the movie. Techie-turned director Prasanth had earlier made the acclaimed short film Amguleechaalitham. He co-wrote The Summer of Miracles with Aneesh Pallyal. Chandra Kiran G.K. plays the child, Reina Maria his mother, and Arya Manikandan the cousin.
