New kid on the block
The recently released Malayalam movie Queen offers a complete package of fun, humour, adventure and nostalgia. But more than that, the film gave a new face to Mollywood. Though her debut film, model-turned-actress Elizabeth Thadikaran is not a new face for fashion enthusiasts. The 2011 Miss Kerala plays one of two heroines in this movie. “Winning Miss Kerala was the turning point of my career and it paved the way for modeling,” says Elizabeth.
The film has hit the screens and receiving positive response. After becoming a popular face in modeling, she bagged many beauty pageant crowns. During this time, she also fulfilled her dream of becoming a doctor and currently works as an associate doctor.
“Working with a wonderful crew, the shooting days were really memorable. Director Dijo Jose Antony and the team were really supportive and I never felt I was acting in my debut film,” she added. The film, set against the backdrop of a campus, has so many new faces. Elizabeth believes the film has the potential to glue Audience to their seats till the end credits. “Working along with a bunch of talented people is always bliss. We were able to create a good chemistry and I am sure it will reflect very well in cinemas,” assures Elizabeth. Offers have started to pour in and she is hopeful to be part of exciting projects in the future.
