Many years ago, when Fahadh Faasil had first appeared as the male lead in a film, people had not taken kindly to his dancing, doing the typical cinematic steps. Today, perhaps it’s his popularity or perhaps he has picked up a few dancing lessons, for the sing-and-dance song Thechille Penne... from the film Role Models is doing rounds on the internet, already getting the viral status.
The song is atypical of Fahadh with lyrics like Thechille penne... (didn’t you cheat me, girl), and other cheesy lines coming from a mostly serious actor. To give him credit though, Fahadh pulls it off pretty well, proving once again his versatility, his inhibition-freeness to do any kind of expression needed of his character. Mates Vinay Forrt, Vinayakan sing chorus with him, more cheesy lines like Made for each other in English coming from them. Namitha Pramod plays the thecha pennu here. Gopi Sunder gave the music and sang it with Niranj Suresh.
