Manju Warrier's magic off the screen

The project aims to give public awareness for pregnant women.

Looks like one new facet of Manju Warrier is waiting to come out every other week. If last week, we heard about her debut in theatre, this time, it is about her trying her hands in magic. She is joining magician Muthukad, who has been training her the past one week, for a show called MOM to be held in Thiruvananthapuram this Friday.

The show is put together by the UNICEF and Magic Academy at Kinfra Film and Video Park, as part of inaugurating a project called Magic of Motherhood or MOM at the academy. The project aims to give public awareness for pregnant women and new mothers about the nutritious food and vaccinations required by newborns and healthy thoughts at the time of motherhood.

Muthukad had opined that Manju Warrier has all the dexterity required for a magician. She has managed to learn tricks in a short time that would normally take months. These include coin magic, rope magic, illusions, among others. The show begins at 2.30 pm, in the presence of scores of pregnant women and mothers.
