THRISSUR: Well known cinema-serial actress Rekha Mohan was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her flat at Sobha City on Saturday. Viyyur police said that they reached her flat after her driver alerted the cops that the actor was not opening the door of the flat and not responding to his calls. After the police broke open the front door of her flat she was found dead in the room at 2 pm. Police said she was living in the flat for almost one year now and was alone as her husband was in Malaysia.
The couple does not have any children, cops said. The actress is a native of Kodakara in Thrissur and rose to fame through a song in the Malayalam film ‘Nee varuvolam’. Her role in the Mammooty starer ‘Udyanapalakan’ was also noted. Police said that the exact cause for her death would be known after the post-mortem of the body which will be held at Thrissur Medical College Hospital on Sunday. They added that she died two days ago. Of late she has been active in TV serials. The character named ‘Mayamma’ in a television serial with the same title, has been quite popular.
