Kamala, directed by Ranjith Shankar and starring Aju Varghese in the lead role, has started rolling in Chalakkudy, Thrissur. The movie has model-actor Ruhani Sharma as the female lead. Produced by Dream N’ Beyond, the movie is said to be a thriller where Aju plays a funny and complicated hero. The project was announced in July with the director tweeting, “Think that’s the coolest writing session I had in a long long time.. Aju Varghese let’s rock the shoot (sic).”
Aju and Ranjith came together first for the Jayasurya-starrer Punyalan Agarbathis where Aju was a sidekick. Since then Aju, who recently put the garb of a producer with Love Action Drama, has been part of most of Ranjith’s movies, including Su..Su..Sudhi Vathmeekam, Pretham, Ramante Edenthottam, Pretham 2 and Punyalan Private Limited.
