There was speculation that Nadirshah will be directing his best friend Dileep after his hit Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan starring Vishnu Unnikrishnan. But it seems that project will take time to materialise. Nadirshah has announced his next project Mera Naam Shaji, that narrates the story of three persons named Shaji from three different parts of Kerala.
As per reports, the director has roped in Biju Menon, Baiju and Asif Ali to play the lead roles in his third directorial. Baiju plays the Shaji from Thiruvananthapuram, Asif , from Ernakulam and Biju Menon from Kozhikode. Nikhila Vimal will play the lead heroine. Sreenivasan will also be playing a pivotal character in the movie. Dileep, who directed Kadhayile Nayika, has scripted the movie.
The shooting is expected to begin by November. Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode will be major locations of the movie. Though much details of the movie hasn’t been revealed, it is expected to be a full-on comedy entertainer like Nadirshah’s earlier two movies Amar Akbar Anthony and Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan.
