Malayalam actress abduction: Young actors demanded strong action

Kochi: The no-nonsene approach of actors Prithvi Raj, Remya Nambisan, Asif Ali and other young brigade of Malayalam film industry led to AMMA expelling actor Dileep. Speaking to reporters after the meeting Prithvi Raj said the action against Dileep was taken unanimously.

Remya Nambisan, an executive committee member of AMMA expressed satisfaction at the action. “This is is the beginning of a change. Women should be able to go for work without fear. The demand for 50 per cent quota for women in AMMA was raised in the meeting. It may be discussed in the next meeting,” she said.
