Malayalam actress abduction: Pulsar Suni's police-friend' faces action
Kochi: The Kerala Police is likely to take departmental action against a civil police officer who was found to have helped Pulsar Suni aka Sunil Kumar, the prime accused, in the actor abduction and sexual assault case. Sources said, in a day or two they would suspend him and initiate further action after a detailed probe. A recommendation for this is before to the higher authorities. Aneesh, the CPO at the Kalamassery AR Camp, was arrested and released on bail on Saturday night as he had allegedly helped Suni contact actor Dileep and his friend Nadirsha.
They took the list of all police personnel who escorted Suni to the court from jail on various occasions and analysed their phone conversations. They found Mr Aneesh’s phone was used to send voice recording of Suni besides contacting the actor and his close aide. Also, three calls were made from the phone to ‘Lakshya’, the women's clothes shop owned by Kavya Madhavan. He told the investigation team that he handed the phone on Suni's request for “contacting his family”.
“At that time Dileep and others haven’t come to the picture, and hence he was unaware of the conspiracy,” one of the sources said. Meanwhile, Dileep is set to seek bail again, now that the investigation process was “almost over”. His sticking to the court condition when he was allotted a two-hour parole recently will be cited as one favourable factor.
