Chemmeen
The much revered movie in Malayalam, Chemmeen is celebrating its 52nd birthday this month. On August 19, the day when the film hit the screens for the first time in Kerala, is celebrated in a unique way in the capital city. A food festival named Chemmeen, is hosted by Uday Suites in Shanghumugham for a week till August 27.
Highlight of the fest will be home made delicious food cooked in mud pots. The chefs coming on these days are called Karuthamma who serves some lip-smacking delicacies cooked at home. On all days, foodies can also enjoy watching the movie Chemmeen at the venue. Actor Madhu will be honoured on the occasion.
