When it was announced that the superhit action comedy Pokkiri Raja, starring Mammootty and Prithviraj, would get a prequel, expectations were sky high about the repeat of the Vyshakh magic. However, the buzz is that Prithviraj is being replaced by Subramaniapuram-fame Jai in the much-awaited part two.
If the news is true, the movie will see the Malayalam debut of Jai, who has a great following in Kerala. The actor has wooed movie buffs through his performance in the films Engeyum Eppothum, Raja Rani, Goa, etc. Prithviraj is all set to make his directorial debut with Lucifer, starring Mohanlal. Meanwhile, Mammootty is expected to join the sets of Raja 2 after wrapping up the shooting of the YSR biopic Yathra.
