It was around six months ago that friends and family members of late director Rajesh Pillai announced their plan to bankroll films under the banner of Rajesh Pillai films. The debut venture from the production house is being directed by Mahesh Narayan, who edited Rajesh’s Traffic and wrote the screenplay of his Mili. On Wednesday, the crew has revealed the title of the film – Take Off – at a function held in Kochi.
The film has an ensemble cast that includes Kunchacko Boban, Parvathy, Fahadh Faasil and Asif Ali. Sanu John Varghese who cranked the camera for Kamal Hassan’s Viswaroopam, is the director of photography of Take Off, co-produced by Anto Joseph.
Mahesh is writing the script along with short story writer P V Shajikumar. It is based on a story that the director wrote.
