Excited to act in films: Vineeth Mohan
When Vineeth Mohan bagged a Limca record for an ice cream ad for using stop-motion animation technique in double compositing layer method, he proved his talent in the field. Now, the 29-year-old youth is all set to surprise his admirers in a new avatar of a drunkard holding a liquor bottle and singing out aloud on a beach in the promo of Hussain Abdul Shukkur’s movie Parasuraman Chakshusravanan.
The promo video of the film which was uploaded in YouTube recently has received quite a few hits. Chakrushravanan is the one who hears with eyes — like a snake. Through his debut movie, Shukkur relates the actor’s persona to that of a snake and skillfully articulates his thirst for retaliation and vengeance.
The film is about a common man trying to motivate a group of people to raise their voice for the needs of society. The movie with an all-newcomer-crew is scheduled for release in December.
And Vineeth doesn’t hide his excitement. “It is the first time I act in a film. Acting was always my dream. Only now did I get a chance to do it,” says Vineeth. Vineeth, hailing from Adimaly, walked into the world of ad films and motion graphics by sheer chance. He began his career in 2005 through a supporting role in the serial Sthreethvam.
He later tried his hand in script writing, film direction and finally in ad film direction. “I worked as an assistant script writer for three movies — Lokanathan IAS, Kanaka Simhasanam and Kalabham.”
Later, he became part of the VFX team of Baahubali. “I am a self-made person. I haven’t undergone any professional training. Whatever I learned, I learned it all by myself, from my mistakes. I am eagerly looking forward to the responses to my first movie,” Vineeth concludes.
