We had earlier reported that editor turned-director Arun Kumar Aravind is gearing up to wield megaphone for a film, after a brief gap. Now, the director himself has revealed the title of the film — Kaatu, through his Facebook page. Asif Ali and Murali Gopy are chosen to essay the lead roles in the film. It is for the first time that Asif is teaming up with the Left Right Left director, while Murali has teamed up with Arun in three films earlier — three times as actor — out of which two are as screenwriter.
Another highlight of Kaatu, is its writer and characters. The film is being written by noted writer-media person P. Ananthapadmanabhan, who is also the son of legendary writer-director P. Padmarajan. According to a video shared by Arun on his social media page, the director and Ananthapadmanbhan say that the story is being written with the characters created by Padmarajan.
