Kamal Haasan, PM Modi and South stars mourn Kalabhavan Mani's death
Kalabhavan Mani had an untimely death at age 45. The actor was suffering from liver and kidney diseases.

Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan has joined a long list of celebrities to condole the death of noted South Indian actor and popular folk singer Kalabhavan Mani. The actor passed away in Kochi, on Sunday at the age of 45.
Even PM Narendra Modi sent out a Tweet, conveying his condolences. Mani, had won the National Film Award and Kerala State Film Award in 1999 for his performance as Ramu in ‘Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum’. The actor was undergoing treatment for liver and kidney diseases at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences.
A list of stars posted tweets to express their grief and shock over Mani’s untimely demise.
Mani starred in over 200 films, including Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films, and is especially known for his character and villain roles.

Kamal had worked with Mani in 2015's hit flick 'Papanasam', that was a remake of the film 'Drishyam'. Mani played the role of the cop, while Kamal played the lead role of Suyamblingam.
