After the mega success of Aadu 2, talks are rife about the possibility of a third installment in the series. Producer Vijay Babu has hinted in an interview that the third part of the movie might be in 3D. Although the first part of the movie —Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeevi Aanu— was a commercial disaster, it later on received a cult status.
The second part — Aadu 2— made up for the commercial loss of the first part by opening to full theatres from day one. The sequel which was released in the last week of 2017 has turned out to be the most successful movie to come out last year. The movie continues to be screened in theatres across Kerala.
