Tovino Thomas is definitely one of the most bankable actors in Malayalam today, and the actor’s filmography is buzzing with hits after hits, the latest being Edakkad Battalion 06. His next, Minnal Murali in which he reportedly plays a character with superpowers, is ready to roll and the filming will be held at various locations including Wayanad and Karnataka.
Directed by Basil Joseph, whom Tovino had worked with in Godha last year, Minnal Murali promises to be a one-of-its-kind project in the careers of both the actor and the director. According to reports, the movie will also have a Hollywood connection. Vlad Rimburg, a co-fight choreographer, co-fight coordinator and a co-stunt coordinator in several DC Entertainment productions, will be doing the action choreography in Minnal Murali.
According to the rumour mill, Tovino is also associating with other films, which are expected to be completed in November and December. Among them is the much anticipated movie 2043 Ft directed by Jude Anthony Joseph, which is expected to release before New Year and Forensic, directed by Sujith Vasudev, is the other one. He is now waiting for the release of his new movie Kilometers and Kilometers.
Tovino was seen as Captain Shafeek Mohammed, an army man, in Edakkad Battalion 06, an action drama. Samyuktha Menon played the female lead. The movie, which depicts the lives of army people, was scripted by actor-writer P. Balachandran and directed by newcomer Swapnesh K. Nair. Edakkad Battalion 06 was produced by Ruby Films.
