Malayalam actress assault case: SIT hands over CCTV footage to actor Dileep

Kochi: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the actor abduction and sexual assault case on Monday handed over more evidences, including CCTV footages of the car in which the victim had travelled, to eighth accused Dileep on the direction of a court. “The images from CCTV cameras on the section through which the victim’s vehicle passed on the fateful day was handed over. The evidences shared also include forensic examination results of cell phones used by two of the accused and a copy of the statement given by main accused Pulsar Suni,” sources said.

However, the Angamaly First Class Judicial Magistrate Court is yet to issue an order on Dileep’s demand for handing over a copy of the mobile video recording of the victim undergoing sexual assault in the vehicle. The court is slated to consider the petition in this regard on Wednesday.
