Simarjeet Singh at home in Mollywood
The barriers of language, state and religion are not significant in cinema. Malayalam cinema proved that it is blurring the boundaries— proof being the number of actors from outside finding themselves at home in Mollywood. Sikh actor Simarjeet Singh who is debuting in the Malayalam film Kammara Sambhavam, along with Dileep and Kollywood actor Siddharth has finished his shoot. He is all praise for the people and the state.
He says, “It was a year’s journey— around 50 days of shoot and 13 different locations in Kerala and Tamil Nadu with 3 different looks.Mollywood is not biased, but works according to concept and demand. That is why director Rathish Ambath cast me—an original Sardarji for the role." He adds that Murali Gopy has written a very prominent character for him.
Simarjeet also mentions, “The work and treatment was way more than what I expected. I got lots of love and attachment from the people here despite the language differences. I really feel Kerala is God’s own Country.”
Talking about his future work he discloses that he is in talks for a Tamil film.
