After a hair-raising takeoff with Mahesh Narayanan two years ago with Take Off, a movie about Malayali nurses stranded in Iraq during the ISIS crisis in which he played Manoj, Indian ambassador to Iraq, Fahadh Faasil is teaming up with the director once again, this time for a movie titled Malik.
Malik, also starring Nimisha Sajayan, Biju Menon, Vinay Forrt and Jalaja, has its screenplay and story penned by Mahesh, who handles the editing too. The film is expected to hit the screens in April next year. Produced by Anto Joseph, the film has Sanu John Varughese as the cinematographer. Sushin Shyam will compose tunes to the lyrics of Anwar Ali.
Take Off had bagged a slew of prestigious awards, including the Silver Peacock at IFFI, Special Mention at the National Film Awards, and Kerala State Film Award for debutante director, to name a few. Whether Malik will repeat the Take Off charm is yet to be known!
