Marriage? Not anytime soon: Tamannah Bhatia

The actress also says she is ready to do a ‘single song’ like she did in KGF in Tamil, if anyone offers in Tamil.

Tamannah’s recent horror comedy Devi 2, a sequel to her earlier hit Devi, received mixed responses, but the actress says that she is keen to be part of Devi 3.

“I had to apply dull makeup to look my part of a village girl in both the parts. To make me look a little dusky was a cumbersome process. It took 2.5 hours for this tanned makeup. And you know, after this film, every director wants my skin tone to be changed. Even in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, I have a different body colour. I think it all started with Baahubali,” says Tamannah.

Ask her about the highly seductive song in Devi 2 and shae has a ready answer — “The character Devi is very naïve and hails from rural Tamil Nadu. She is suspicious of her husband Krisha having an affair outside. She is very confused as how to seduce her husband. She thinks that short clothes would do the trick and breaks into a dance. It is the character which does it and not me (laughs).” And she is quick to add, “Playing naïve is very tricky. If you overdo it, it becomes banal. Director Vijay was so particular to be subtle and organic. I think I was able to pull it off.”

Unlike the earlier franchises where a ghost possesses her, Tammu says she wants to essay an exorcist in part 3. “Yes, I am ready for Devi 3, but I want to play an exorcist so that I can hunt all the spirits and expel them. It will be fun.”

On real life spooky experiences she says, “No, I have not come across any supernatural incidents in reality and I am not scared of ghosts. But all said and done more than spirits, human beings are dangerous. Some of them are creepy. I am really petrified about them.”

The actress also says she is ready to do a ‘single song’ like she did in KGF in Tamil, if anyone offers in Tamil. Quiz her about her marriage and she responds — “Not anytime soon! I have lots more to learn and achieve. I don’t know driving and even for that matter swimming. I want to learn swimming.”
