When photos of director Bejoy Nambiar meeting superstar Rajinikanth came online, fans wondered where Bejoy's Solo man Dulquer Salmaan was. Rajini watched the trailer and teaser of Bejoy's new film Solo — his first in Malayalam — and promised to watch it too. Dulquer cleared the air, with a post on Facebook, saying he had to miss the meeting because of shooting.
"But how amazing is this !! God bless the superstar for blessing #Solo !!," Dulquer wrote on his Facebook. Rajini and his dad had made a much-loved combination in Mani Ratnam's Thalapathy many years ago. After the meeting, an excited Bejoy posted on Facebook: “So this happened ! Met the THALAIVA . Showed him my teasers of Solo & convinced him to watch the film soon. FULL ON FANBOY moment.” Solo which will release on October 5, is an anthology of four films, featuring Dulquer in different avatars.
