Thalassery: The 47th Kerala State Film Award distribution will be held at Thalassery on September 10. Apart from award winners, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala will be part of the award function.
Cine artists Madhu, Sheela and Manju Warrier are the guests of honour during the function. As part of the award function, elaborate arrangements have been made by the organising committee headed by Culture Minister A K Balan.
The film award function is being conducted over three days. The celebrations will start on September 8 with ‘Ishal Raavu’ by noted Mappila Pattu singer Eranholi Moosa. On September 9, folk-fusion in association with Folklore Academy, will be performed. On September 10, awards will be distributed to the winners.
Producer P.V. Gangadharan, actors Sreenivasan, Raghavan, Nilamboor Ayisha, Kuttyedathi Vilasini, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Seema, directors K P Kumaran, I V Sasi, T V Chandran, lyricist Poovachal Khader, singer B Vasantha and writer Sreedharan Chambad will be felicitated during the function.
A musical show, comedy nite and a dance ensemble are also part of the programme.
